When you say I am where I am in life because of some act or omission that I am unaware of but nevertheless eligible to be admonished for or at least be accountable for, you really want me to carry on believing this and therefore attributing the saviour status to a God or Guru to save me? Bullshit. It’s too far fetched for a complex organism like the human that is self organising to have to rely on anything outside of itself to know itself, it’s cause and it’s effect.

However, if we say, there is indeed a consequence of a cause and the resultant effect, and that, it (meaning the same consequence), is the significance we give it, that then creates an imprint in our consciousness and therefore an embedded conditioning or mapping or paradigm, and this become a “karma”. It is when we work the karma out that we are set free then sounds more plausible because it is nothing than the memory embedded within our consciousness that needs to be worked out.

And how exactly can we remember something so intangible? By being presented with a set of scenarios and life situations that force us to look within into the why of us so we work our own cause and effect.

Our karma at the animal brain level in us will relate to our most primal instincts, all our actions and values around survival. On todays world that might mean our employment, financial security, and for those with a more sensitive stress response, it could be a lack of trust in relationships. And so, we bring to us the sort of situations that will force us to look at the patterns which will in turn point us to the initial wound endured by innocent psyche. This way we continue to realise ourselves by deep awareness and through meditative analysis of one’s why.

This is how karma is released and we become more open and receptive into the possibility of taking responsibility for our life journey. We won’t then need to rely on a theory that only serves to keep us stationed at the same spot on the continuum of consciousness. Ultimately then, releasing karma is a personal responsibility and a guru or a guide can merely provide an understanding of this process which we must endure ourselves.

We can only walk our path that’s ours to walk; to say that a guru or guide will do that for us or help us, is our need for security that might come from feeling unsafe in one’s own greatness self worth and esteem. However, that is not to say we cannot access outside assistance; it is the dependency to it that keeps us away from ourselves. The question then is why the dependency. Didn’t we have people around to depend on when our our sense of being able to depend on was being formed? Did our parents not meet our needs? Perhaps they were not “dependable” and therefore we became insecure and not able to trust our own selves, always in need for validation and a helping hand.

We are all one big family – independent yet interdependent. Sadly, many of us will be codependent.

Karma is what’s left is us to resolve; a brain map or pattern or paradigm that acts as a hindrance and barrier to fully live our lives with magnitude and magnificence. Karma is just all the garbage that says this is how things should be or not. It is what’s left over when  we integrate life experience.

Got any leftover karma? Eat only that which you can digest!

Blessings
