Just imagine that! You finally nailed your reactivity, gained distance between a trigger and your response, and even became more aware of what sets you off, until you realise, oh dear I merely found new clothes for the same reaction.

We have many types of defence mechanisms from Freud to Erik Erikson, from the wars between the Hindu gods depicted in legends be it the battles we fight within us, we will have a unique way of dealing with anything that our brain perceives as a threat whether we are conscious of this or not.

Our reaction itself is energy; some will direct this same energy into boxing running some form of sport; others will become overly altruistic; we may project; even run away by using a pursuit such as self improvement to escape. We can dissociate and not cave into the distress we actually feel. These reactions are all ways of coping with the way we imagine the situation to have the potential to affect us. It is a very subjective process. Unless…

We move from a place of reactivity to responding consciously. Conscious communication with an awareness of your own personality type, how you deal with stress, and what your take on life is. But, to become conscious, your own ability to trick yourself must be identified. Instead of reacting and posting a sharp comment one might wait and have a chat with someone or deal with it in a more constructive way. Whilst this sounds oh so altruistic and mature, it won’t matter and become that, unless you are really letting go of any reactivity within you. If you still feel pained angered and threatened, whether you know it or not, this will fester inside of you and filter into all of your responses to life situations that take you out of your comfort zone.

Instead of entering into your growth zone, you will now have more refined encasing to excavate than just the standard ones that were obvious to you.

We are complex and highly sophisticated built for survival; except the human in us knows better than to survive, because once you know you can relax, you can thrive enter into your other realms and explore a world you need a relaxation pass to enter and explore.

Having a caregiver, an unconditional form of support, a spiritual teacher or guru are all forms of a source of levity that will open the way for more exploration because you know your back is covered without judgement agenda or fear of abandonment.

Once we feel that level of safety, we become then Christopher Columbuses of our own world navigating with total connection and oneness within.

Are you an explorer? Or would you rather navigate only that which you feel comfortable with?

Blessings
