Whilst having a dream or an active imagination are not an issue it’s our own response to these that could potentially be telling of a totally different story of us. Meaning, having a vision a goal a want or desire are all a means to etch out our creative potential into action BUT IF we have these because we have a hole in us that keeps us wanting, or a hole that says I am not enough and so I will imagine this, or a hole that says I must want these to make a success of me or a hole that says I am what I have or a hole that says I need to be free and so I will imagine all that makes me feel free, then we are essentially holding on to a fantasy of salvaging old wounds old patterns old parts of us that haven’t quite gotten that we really are magnificent beings. Truly.

Another example : a beautiful man or woman to you pass by smile at you. What are you thinking? Marriage babies happily ever after, or do you smile back without being phased but appreciative of the exchange? If it’s not marriage and babies is it a sex fantasy? It could be anything that goes beyond what is.

There is a fine line between intuitive wisdom that is innate and instinctive gut reactions that are borne of a particular mindset not necessarily neutral. How we know what’s what is to check whether we have balance. Are we always complaining? Do we shy away from intimacy? Are we overly vested online with technology or keeping up appearances? Do we secretly want to show off our “innate wisdom” and therefore get stuck in our need for validation and acceptance because that’s a part of us we haven’t yet attended to?

A salvation fantasy is repetitive in how it happens – you know you have one if you don’t feel fully embodied in every aspect and facet of you. So you can be fully engaged in life but not quiet as that might be noise to keep the inner monsters down; conversely you might stay quiet poised and calm again a facade to keep the goblins under lock and key – you either reject silence or over do it.

When are legs do what they do – walk, and our tongue does what it does – talk, as every other faculty, we know we are balanced. When our body doesn’t work something needs attention. Because we are not just the body, but the mind spirit and more, all of these will need their histories taken, a bit like when a doctor takes down our medical history.

Any means by which we seek “freedom” is a tell tale sign that something is amiss. Because really we are always always always ever free, but, hey it takes more than these words for you to feel that elixir on the tip of your tongue always at your beck and call.

If you decide to test your co creative potential by doing a visualisation that will only work to the extent of what’s in the machinery of your own mindset. The conscious and unconscious. If you feel it won’t work, what stops you then from having hopes dreams and flighty laughs. Perhaps a lack of playfulness? Or a lack of spontaneity? It happens when a child in play gets interrupted because they have to obey and listen lest they be admonished, so that joy to create disappears, our disbelief sets in.

Having a fantasy is what it is. Nothing more or less. Our attachment to what the fantasy means to us, it’s significance is what makes or breaks.
