Do you really agree that we are what we attract including that awful man who said those nasty things to you dragged you a few flights down the stairs and bashed you blue and purple, till the crowds gathered and not one lifted a finger but just watched? And what about that teacher who pulled you at your ears, calling you “stupid” slapping you for complaining about a boy who was bullying you? Oh and let’s not forget the false criminal charges brought against you for refusing to let your ex husband abuse you anymore and in his wrath feeling rejected he decides to commit a felony without the prosecutors as much as getting a whiff of his ill intentions. So the question really is how oh how do we manage to attract this crap into our lives and then be told that we either manifested it or that we are supposed to work on some kind of inner shit. And if you happen to get one of those rosary chanting holier than thou buffoons then it’s down to your karma!

Seriously, w*** t** f***!!!!

Here’s the thing. We kind of are attracting that stuff but not literally. So it’s not the physical actualisation of it but the response in us to the situation that we are attracting. Make sense? If you are at the extreme end of feeling a deep lack of self worth, low self esteem and a real distrust in providence including your capabilities, attracting a lawsuit that too one that holds no prima facie case against you, is really here to set the alarm bells so that you wake up. How? Did you feel your reaction to being arrested unawares for something you didn’t even do? Perhaps in your feeling of lack and general victimhood you might have contemplated in your mind only, of winning a lottery or even robbing a bank. But, you didn’t look at why you even had these fantasies to begin with. Or maybe you feel so helpless that the feeling of being at the behest of the others and figures of authority is what you manifested. So it is not the situation that we manifest but it’s significance and what it makes us feel.

And the irony?

We don’t even know we have these feelings inside of us which is why the law of attraction doesn’t bode well in our book of life. We simply cannot and will not entertain that it is the mindset that attracts the “feeling” “response” “reaction” “lesson” in whatever situation we find ourselves in. You can only ever know when you keep tabs on your thought processes. You might even notice how you plant those thoughts, but because of the speed with which it all happens it feels as if the thoughts come first. Nope, it’s our consciousness that commands the mind to initiate thought. The consciousness itself will be a product of who you think you are since ever since.

Perhaps you were born into a family that is less fortunate but instead of feel the frustration of not having enough, they lived the illusion of being better than the rich, and with this complexes came to be. You might have been super obedient too and made to understand as a very little you, that we never question authority, or that those elder to us are always right. This is a recipe for one heck of an abundance block and a followers complex. You will tend to go with the flock, or at least the one the looks all powerful to you maybe like an elder sibling, and even if you feel like questioning the lack you wouldn’t dare. You are accustomed to that. With this comes the innate victim mentality, and you are likely to behave otherwise.

Really, we are no victim of anything other than the mind. And this is not to suggest that those of us who have faced real intentional abuse have not been victims. No, they have. But what is being referred to here are those of us that carry a victim type mindset, without really being a victim and that such a mindset might just make you a victim. Although you are simply all that in your mentality.

It’s a strange animal, our mind, and the mindset even more enigmatic. Simply because we cannot live with such fierce awareness all of the time unless you are compelled by some sort of life event that shakes you at your core. Till then, you can at a gentle pace, inculcate an awareness, so that you can take control of your life and your life responses. Or maybe you already had that wake up call and now try as you might to live asleep you simply can’t and won’t. Now you’re on the train to get off is simply no longer an option, and even at the hardest of times you will bounce back on your designated seat.

Look at your life.

What’s the flavour?

What is always happening? Not the event but notice the feelings that perpetuate.

Do you remember joining the dots to create different objects? Try and do the same with these patterns, the triggers, what sets you off, what you really want desire and see if it makes sense. Notice if you blame. What’s your level of responsibility?

To know we have a mindset that can shape our life and then to understand how we can meld that is a feat that we can all enjoy. You cannot control perceptions of others but your thoughts you can and therefore your life too you can change as can you your karma. Karma is not a life sentence. It is dynamic and ever changing. It is what you make of it.
