And does it even matter whether we have one or not let alone need one to identify our goals visions and aspirations?

Look at any fruit tree. Do you think it realises that it’s purpose is of nourishing? And does it need to have that purpose just because it bears fruit? Can’t it just be?

Similar is our fate.

A purpose or to have one is borne of the mind, and the ego that says I must be different and individuate. A purpose trains the mind to go fishing 🎣 to align our entirety with that purpose we have so intricately woven into the fabric of who we identify ourselves to be.

And then we have a process that might run parallel to this treasure hunt for purpose called self realisation. No philosophy here just a phrase that here only means that – to realise one self to know oneself to live oneself. We move from a notion of what I am to WHY I am to just I am. But don’t take my words as a taken. It is your journey. Well, ours if we are going to get spiritually cheesy.

As we shed our skin we begin to realise that to identify with a goal aspiration vision or even a grand life purpose is nothing short of a mental exercise. There is no real purpose other than just to be as you are. To be you. And now if you think to be you is to be a yoga teacher or a sex therapist then so be it. But to say that your purpose is to be a yoga teacher is synonymous with self sacrilege simply because you have just limited who you think you are to what you do as an extension of you.

Wherever we be stationed in our continuum of consciousness there will be a sort of purpose developed at that stage but only as a reflection of your inner world. If you are a healer perhaps your purpose then is to bring wholeness to yourself and pave the way for others to do the same? Yet, again, to say it’s a grand life purpose makes no sense because a purpose is only real when it serves to bring your organism back into its wholeness through self realisation.

The little purposes along the way are tools as opposed to the ends of our journey of life. These will serve to show us where we are and why.

Your reflection comes clearly when you decidedly with full intent embark on a quest to wholeness in which is borne a flavour you would like your life to take.

I can say for example that I see my purpose here to be a conscious parent and if this is resonant with a higher larger purpose of realising my Self as it’s the way chosen for me by my Self as a gateway for healing and self realisation then yes it becomes a life purpose. It is no longer borne of mind but birthed by spirit in your individuate incarnate form of embodied soul self!

That meaning comes when you are aligned to the truth of who you are. For that, the mirror awaits your true desire to see your shadow.

Are you ready?
