Food that we eat can eat us too – how so? When our food starts to fill an unmet need within instead of a source of nutrition, know then, that your timeline beckons.

Have you ever watched a mama feed her toddler? Maybe chase him around a little? Maybe say something like, “please just one more spoon”; and “good children always finish what’s on their plates”; or even “did you know there are children you are less fortunate than you”, or “we never had food like this, you are spoilt for choice” or “finish what’s on your plate or else…”.

There are many many things that are happening to a mama or a papa who has a little human that resists the food on their plate. Yet, an infant is very acutely aware of a couple of things: sleep and hunger. They will make it know when they need these just as will a toddler. They have the ability to self regulate appetite and sleep. Yep. They know when they have eaten enough and know when to stop.

BUT, when we coax them to eat more we are telling them to stop following their own instinctive knowing that they don’t need more food. They get used to feeling over full and associate being satiated with being so full and maybe even uncomfortably so. Tragic right? Yep.

For those children who have been emotionally blackmailed into eating more or being forced to sit and finish what’s on their plate, they may:

Throw the plate off the table

Eat but get sick

Eat and form a view on food

On the other hand children who have been exploded to any form of not so good enough parenting will have an insatiable need to eat to fill their void, their hole. There will be unmet needs inside of them and that release of dopamine when they eat will give them the feeling of “I am full”. It numbs the hole. Although what is happening is that the sensation created by the hole in you is actually mistaken for “hunger”. Generally speaking we don’t need a lot of food. We can live off Prana, breath or sun energy to the one extreme. Have you heard of breatharianism? We do not condone this but are merely citing this as one extreme of the role of food in our lives . Paramahamsa Yogananda mentioned a woman who had not eaten for years. Another quantum monk would be Jasmuheen who talks about this. Have a look at that https://www.jasmuheen.com/about-jasmuheen

Food will do what it needs to do and you will programme it. Yes, you. If you say I will get fat if I eat cream cheese then that’s what it will do to you. Our associations about food give it leverage to bring these to our physical reality. Food is just food. Used to heal repair our bodies inside out. We can live off energy whether that comes from a tangible source or not. Ultimately our own energetic make up will call for the type of energy it needs for sustenance.
