We already know the isolation any parent goes through especially when on their own caring for a newborn around the clock. But that is not necessarily loneliness that we might feel even when we are surrounded with others and when we are on our own.

Why is it important to feel a bit of loneliness to get to point zero? What number comes after zero? One. And after One? Two. To get to zero passing the one is a necessary step and one that can either bring you back to two or stagnate at one.

To accommodate single person households some businesses kept their offices open to allow for interaction between staff during Covid lockdown times. This was to prevent any feelings of isolation and ensuing mental health issues. Many took this option and stayed mentally afloat.

There are then the others who found that being alone was a wonderful opportunity to sit with oneself alone without any pressure to mingle or even get up in the morning to commute to work. These people felt comfortable in their own skin and were happy and content to be left alone, if anything the lockdown was a welcome experience a bit like a working holiday.

You may have found yourself without any means of physically social interaction stuck in your home alone with a newborn or a toddler. In this case there is a feeling of well I have no choice I just have to ride this one to keep my little one safe and myself as I am a shielder too. Some would be alone at home no baby no responsibility and might have found this time to be the time they come into their own sense of being despite any discomfort felt by not being able to see friends and family. Our brains might have become challenged but because of their sheer plasticity they would eventually adapt.

You can be in any of the above situations or others and still feel a sense of loneliness. This loneliness can be very tormenting to the point you feel seriously depressed and physically sick. But, most of the symptoms that come, are in fact our resistance to exploring our loneliness. We can really feel the loneliness when we stop the distractions, stop the time fillers including television and social media or even books. And just be. When all you can do is take care of your infant without support and alone, this might just be a lottery moment for you even though it won’t feel like that while you are in resistance if the situation right now. Being with your infant around the clock without any real interaction because either they are about to sleep or won’t let you speak to anyone on the phone or won’t let you do any of your own work, you are totally bound to their needs and by the time you have time after their nap and sleep, you might need time to recover. Still, this is a golden time to navigate the subtleties of the psyche and enter a new era in your life of the “lonely”. Just dive deep into it and see where it takes you.

You won’t get seriously sick or depressed or whatever you fear might happen if you can allow yourself to fully feel the loneliness. What you might feel is the full power of your whole being supporting you and you entering an era of potential to create and be – the point zero. It won’t happen though unless you simply allow it. Our resistance oh my really can cook up a very funny tasting meal that’s only palatable in a particular way and anything else is simple going to wreck havoc with the digestive system not because it would be it because your own thoughts have made this happen.

Loneliness is an amazing gift and this pandemic might have just been this rebirthing to some of us in the cycle of us. We had the perfect set up to make this happen. And perfect it is too in how it has made us step into the zero which says oh I didn’t know o was this creative or that I would write or I could run or bring beautiful artisan chocolates to the palate. We are a self organising organism one that will find a solution each time. We are truly plastic and malleable so really it’s the resistance to be that keeps us stuck.

The pandemic times reflected our own thoughts which are we are really lonely and socially distant. And that’s what we became. What a wonderful gift for some and not so for others. We spent so long hiding behind the interface it became us and then we manifested as a collective a peek at what we really are in our minds – lonely distant and guarded.

Some of us managed to changed the algorithm of us the mind, to us the spirit into mind working for what the wish to manifest in spirit decides.

What are you scared of? Why is it so scary to be alone? (I mean really alone with no distractions no laptop nothing to do nowhere to go just in one space all of the time)!
